INTRODUCTION |
"Si, Partie 2 - L'homme Idéal" is the fifth Nemo studio album and the second part of a concept album about the genetic manipulations, a theme of great topicality. |
SOUNDS LIKE ... |
If You read my previous Nemo reviews you'll know I've always been in trouble to define them a progressive metal band. I think their music is much more adult oriented and more varied. They mix heavy guitar riffs with impressive keyboards parts making live together some jazz and funky interludes. |
POINTS OF INTEREST |
It's not basically different from the previous albums: the classic Nemo style is here with the usual fantastic dialogues between JP guitar and Guillaume Fontaine Hammond and keys. But, believe me, it's even better than both "SI Partie 1" and "Prelude …" thanks to much more flowing compositions. They're more direct, more fresh, I dare say more melodic. |
WEAK POINTS |
No weak points this time. |
FAVOURITE TRACKS |
"Les Enfants
Rois" "Mème peau, mème destin" "Une Question De Temps" |
RECOMMENDATION |
I've always deeply loved Nemo's music for the high-skilled playing and fine songwriting. Now they also make me feel true emotions in music. "Presages" was my only favourite Nemo album, now please add "SI partie 2". Highly recommended !! |
