INTRODUCTION
In Norway they're already talking about Gallery as the actual surprise of this year. The band was born 3 years ago but the five members had come from previous experiences. Do you know bands like Pekka Volt and Deflower ? I didn't …
SOUNDS LIKE ...
The band itself gives the coordinates to place the music: Muse, Coldplay, Radiohead, Cure, Led Zeppelin and Peter Gabriel. I agree with them but I add Paatos and Liquid Scarlet to the list.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Hard-rock riffs, fine piano embroideries, some Hammond parts, exciting fast songs, melancholic songs, typically northern gothic atmospheres. Well there's all I want from a modern progressive rock album and, even better, everything is cleverly balanced.
WEAK POINTS
What ?
FAVOURITE TRACKS
| "Painted
Black" "Escape" "Grief" "The Denial" |
RECOMMENDATION
If you're close to the modern progressive rock close and you like the scandinavian music you'll love "Jas Gripen" till death. I think It also has an impressive commercial potential. Recommended !!
