RATING: 75/100 |
INTRODUCTION |
Blind Ego is a new all-star-band, led by RPWL guitar player Kalle Wallner. For this solo-project, he surrounded himself with the best neo-prog british cream: John Jowitt (IQ) on bass, John Mitchell and Clive Nolan (Arena), Paul Wrightson (early Arena singer) and Tommy Eberhardt on drums. |
SOUNDS LIKE ... |
I'm sure you're thinking of a RPWL sound like. Yes, partly ! "Mirror" is a more guitar-oriented version of RPWL music with much less Pink Floyd influences but I think it's mostly in the vein of Arena music. |
POINTS OF INTEREST |
I'm really fond of Paul Wrightson voice and he does his best just like he did with Arena in the past. Kalle's guitar playing is strong and melodic. There are so many interesting and well played songs. |
WEAK POINTS |
Nothing really new under the sun, that's the only weak point of "Mirror". |
FAVOURITE TRACKS |
"Moon
And Sun" "Black Despair" "Break You" "Don't Ask Me Why" |
RECOMMENDATION |
Arena, Kino and RPWL fans: this is for you |
